Wadi Rum is one of the funnest of natural places that I have been to in Jordan. It is filled with sand, rocks, and fun. Our family along with some other families went down there for a day and a night. We had a Bedouin guide that drove us to our campsite and fixed us with tents. I don't know the parents view of the whole trip but I'd say the kids had a blast. There were giant sand dunes that beckoned all of us to play on them; there were huge rocks that although a little dangerous provided us with practice on our climbing abilities; also there were small dunes and flat areas of sand and rocks that were great for duning(this tested the girls' voice volume a bit; as our driver accelerated).
